Description: We are a Kamloops-based Latin ensemble.
Nela - Nela is a Latina from Cuba, and has been in Canada since 1997. She was the lead singer for a renowned Latin band in Halifax, where she somehow also found the time to complete her Ph.D. in computational chemistry. She is now an Associate Professor at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Kamloops, BC, although her lifelong passion remains music and singing.
Cindy - Cindy is from Winnipeg, where she was involved with music throughout her entire life ever since she picked out the "Meow Mix" song on a piano at the age of 3. She has played and recorded with several Winnipeg-based bands of many styles and in various capacities as keyboardest, lead singer, songwriter, and sax player. She had never tried Latin music before Caliente. She is also an Associate Professor in Biological Sciences at TRU, and a member of another musical group, "The Constant Variables".
Marcin - Marcin has yet to be given the opportunity to provide a bio or a picture. Nonetheless, we can tell you that Marcin is a super guy, who was born and raised in Poland. His interest in drums started not with rhythm but with drum making and design: his talents as a percussionist were cultivated as a result of this facination with construction. He has played with several musical groups, and has most recently been working alongside notable Kamloops musician, Trevor Caswell. Marcin does something highly technical with computers and geographic information systems for the province of BC.
Special thanks to our recording engineer, Patrick Walton.
Thanks to: Raul Alcantara, one hell of a drummer; Doug Baleshta, the original troublemaker; Alex Bell, a very gifted musician and a good friend; Heather Fast, Claudette & Sandy, who helped us out "big time"; Tom and Benjamin Friedman, our unofficial roadies; Trevor Hust, an excellent fellow who played bass and guitar with us, Larry Read, who "discovered" us; Joanne and Myron Rosvick for "technical support" |

His lyrics travel between concepts of loss, love, environment and his own progression as a human being...all with a continual unshakable positive outlook.
Chris also happily plays bass guitar for local Kamloops talent Mickael Maddison! |

Cliff Moody |

| Date started: 01-01-2002 - Still Active |
| Genre: Classic Rock |

|
Description: Cliff was born on March 13, 1972 in Kamloops, BC. Cliff has always loved to sing since he was little. He was born into a family of singers although he didn’t know it until recently. He was adopted and after meeting his biological brother 2 years ago, he discovered where his talent originated from. His biological mother and brother can both sing too. Although Cliff loves all kinds of music, it was Elvis that really intrigued him the most.
Cliff’s earliest memory of Elvis was sitting around the Christmas tree listening to an 8-track tape of the Blue Christmas album. The raw energy and emotion that Elvis conveyed in each song he sang captivated Cliff’s attention at an early age. Little did Cliff know at the time what roll Elvis would play in molding his future.
Cliff prides himself on his distinctive Elvis look. Putting together a tribute to Elvis has been a dream of his for most of his adult life, but has become his professional goal ever since attending the Penticton Elvis festival 5 years ago. Cliff is so grateful to Geoff Smith & Cactus Jacks for their support and sponsorship in the first 3 years to make competing in Penticton possible. 2006 will be Cliff’s 5th year competing at the Penticton Elvis festival. The most highlighted year of his life so far was when Sherwood Sports and the festival souvenir booth proudly presented him with a festival jacket after being awarded fan favorite for the festival of 2005, thanks to the crowd’s positive comments and responses regarding Cliff’s performances that year.
Cliff Moody is well known as “Always Elvis” on stage. His shows come with professional sound equipment when needed, and audio enhanced backing tracts. Each show can be tailored to a special theme of your choice and can include all 3 eras of Elvis, a short show of your desired length that’s comprised of a variety of Elvis songs or even just a song or two for birthday’s, anniversaries or any other special occasion. All shows include authentic costumes of any era |

| Genre: Electronica/House |

|
Description: Myshell's spontaneous sets consist of remixes on the fly with loops layered and arranged in real time with manual filter movements. With seperates of her own tracks she is able to custom design songs to fit the setting. Her live remixes include beat-mixing older songs with newer songs and original rhythms. "I'll take the Doors and mix it with X-Cabs and add a breakbeat- it's fun!"
No two shows are alike. Myshell's music defies the boundaries set by electronic music genres. She incorporates elements of House, Trance, Techno and Breaks with "traditional" music.
Trained in acutonics, colour, magnetic and sound therapy. Myshell was drawn to the tribal nature of electronic dance music. She instantly recognized the deep trance state of dancers was similar to the state that people reached in her healing room. She strives to incorporate the essence of sound healing into her music. |

Band Interests:
We LOVE going to shows as much as we LOVE playing them! We love to party, but also work very hard to keep things in good contrast. Our band is #1 for us so we give 110% all the time.
Biography:
Los Angeles, CA – October 18th marks the street date for the new 6-song EP from the metal punishers in Drivin, a band whose embrace of groove-boned thrash and death metal vengeance has earned them die-hard fans as well as the right to claim demi-god status in a vicious, dog-eat-dog heavy metal universe.
Drivin’s songs boast a diversity of metal sensibilities. Rhythmic awareness gets heads lashing in a live setting (and in your car when you’re by yourself, blasting the volume high). Sickened guitar solos mix with grim melodies, summoning death metal’s spirit, yet without mindless, chaotic bombast. A touch of complexity in a nod toward metalcore mingled with a sense of streamlined thrust make Drivin’s songs beasts that swell and explore yet which move inexorably toward their destination. There’s also a raw, muscular grinding anger that recalls the rage of metallic hardcore. There’s plenty of meat to chew on. (And then there are the withering vocals – that transcend all the band’s influences – and those vox chew on you and spit you out!) Always there is the drive to do something original, something powerful, something smart – and something visceral. “Drivin is a highly motivated band that stands for a sense of musical integrity, talent and the desire to create new and unique music,” explains one band member. And Drivin is driven by the insatiable urge to “create new music for people to enjoy – and be inspired by.” The band has been busy taking the stage and slaying audiences, and a multi-city tour is in the works as Drivin expands its horizons, pushing outward |

| Description: To write a biography is to think back to the past and try to reconstruct events, feelings and emotions in an attempt to paint a picture of the present. Duo 2’s biography can really only be found in the strangely addictive melodies, chords and words that culminate into their songs. An unbridled passion for music can be heard in each track throughout their debut release “The Longest Road” and the energy felt during live performance only fuels the fire within the guitar/banjo duo. The idea to play percussion simultaneously is said to have stemmed from a joke which surfaced during many a jam sessions, they tried it once and never looked back. Now, the two twenty-something boys are on a mission to bring their nostalgic yet eccentric fusion of genres to as many audiences as is humanly possible. Show after show listeners of all sorts; from heavy metal fans, to rock and rollers, to bluegrass enthusiasts, the duo seems to be recruiting fans without prejudice. “We’re fans of all sorts of music”, says the group, “music is the only thing we believe in, it’s all we ever want to do and we hope to be able to do nothing but”. For now, their journey continues and if you want to know anything more about the band just listen to the music, it will tell you a tell a story which written words will never match. | Description: This crew assembled in August 2007, having worked on previous projects from the heaviest to the happiest, with a new concept in mind. Out of the ashes of the heavy metal band, Halfsnapped, and the ska/punk band, Skadawgs, arose a new idea about making music that had a broader appeal to people who nowadays have as eclectic tastes as our own. On my iPod I have hundreds of artists and genres ranging through the spectrum of styles and beyond. On Saturdays I listen to Opera on CBC2. My point is that the world and music is changing day and night, especially night, and we wanted not only to make music but make some tunes we could believe in and do them in a style that resembled rock. Infusing my trumpet into the mix opened up so many doors for us stylistically into the realm of blues, funk, reggae, and my personal favorite home for a trumpet, ska. I believe that all music is beautiful and that if you have something that you have got to share, do it with blind abandon and every ounce of passion within you. Being such a new group we are still constantly getting to know each other musically and with every passing month and every new song we journey together into uncharted water playing music that is new to us and new to the world. |

I have called this "Journey Through Worship"
For those who join, they receive these recordings throughout the year. Some of the recordings come from live worship services that I lead at throughout the year, others are personal worship times with just me and my instrument.
This year 2010 will include 3 CDs (by the grace of God): A CHILDREN'S ALBUM, A SOAKING CD, AND MY FIRST RELEASE UNDER JESUS CULTURE MUSIC. All 3 of those CDs' will be released to the public and will be included in your subscription.
The rest of the music is music that will only be released to those who subscribe. I pray throughout the year for those who are part of the journey that the music would reach into your hearts and minister to you in each season that you are in.
Come and join me for 2010 on yet another year, that we would worship in all seasons of life, giving ourselves to praise whether in the valley or on the mountain top! |

Henry Small |

| Genre: Rock/Reggae/Blues |
|
|
Description: Henry Small was born on February 29th 1948, which is why he presently feels immensely fatigued, even though as a leap year baby he is only 13 years old. His story is a psychological thrillerAt an early age, young Henry picked up the violin and instantly became a child prodigy in his home town, Beacon, New York. In high school, being a violin player and suffering from a height deficiency, he was the victim of cruel bullying, until he discovered his violin case made an excellent weapon. From that day forward, Henry Small had the respect of his classmates.
A child of the 60’s, he soon discovered drugs, alcohol, sex and music. His ability to sing was a surprise to him...he would sing with his back to the crowd, until he discovered the affect his voice had on women….or was it his ass……that’s really a matter of opinion. Soon he was the lead singer, writer and arranger for Scrubbaloe Caine formed with Paul Dean (Loverboy) and produced by David Kershenbaum from RCA Records. Small Wonder came next, which brought him a three year writers deal with Irving Almo Music. What followed was more writing, singing and unique violin playing, this time with Burton Cummings. His fond memories of Burton still bring tears to his eyes, if you spent 28 hours on a bus with Burt…well, never mind. He toured with Burt throughout North America. Later he appeared on several national television shows, which included Midnight Special and Solid Gold while with Prism. From there he released two albums – Small Change and Beat Street. Both of these albums had Top 40 hits in Canada and the United States. His writing abilities brought him together with Tommy Whitlock (Take My Breath Away) to write “Stranger in a Strange Land” on the Eddie Money album Can’t Hold Back which had over two million sales and wrote, arranged and produced an album with John Entwistle of The Who called The Rock. |

Description: About Joseph Blood:
He’s been called the “Second coming of Gram Parsons” a “true renaissance man” and “one of the classiest musicians you’ll meet”. However you want to see him Joseph Blood strives to entertain and expand his horizons at every turn on the road. Blood’s career as an acclaimed Vancouver based guitar player has seen him play with groups like Jakalope, Bend Sinister, Crystal Pistol, Nim Vind and Jessica Beach. He has played stages on seven different countries and has shared bills with acts ranging from 2 Live Crew, Demented are Go and Spirit of the West. It doesn’t get more varied than that. His self produced, debut full length “For Friends and Family” is his foray to the front of the stage. “Hitting all the best parts of modern Americana” Blood’s songs are a blend of dark country, celtic punk and chamber pop. His self described “acid-country” has been winning him fans across North America and Europe as more and more people latch on to his urgent, captivating melodies and songs. He writes about living on the road, love found and lost and all the booze and heartache that fills up the cracks of life. And he certainly knows what he’s talking about. After seven years of professionally touring, Joseph has his share of stories. From playing world war 2 army bunkers in Germany to showing up to gigs to find a dead body inside, he has seen just about everything that the road has to offer. Just about. “That’s why I keep playing,” says Blood. “I’m pretty much unemployable in any conventional sense but I’m able to travel and have all these crazy experiences. There’s always somewhere new to go or someone new to meet. It never stops being exciting.” Everything/person he comes across may not make it into a song but he certainly has a deep well to draw from. It’s evident in the self-deprecatory “Rock’n’roll is Gonna Ruin My Life” where he sings about loading up a van in the rain at five in the morning and eating nothing but toast. |

|
| Description: Kook Show is a high energy, alternative rock band from the small town of Merritt, British Columbia. In 1999, vocalist/bassist Jared Jackson and guitarist Dustin Walsh came together with three other former members to create "Kook Show". They started out playing cover songs at parties and instantly became a local favorite. Soon after, they decided to become serious and started writing and performing their own music in hopes of making a career out of it. Between 2001 and 2003 Kook Show recorded two albums consisting of an eleven track album titled "Let The Show Begin" and a six song E.P titled "Chances". While touring throughout B.C and Alberta, both albums combined sold over twenty-five hundred copies giving Kook Show a dedicated fan base. They gained regular rotation airplay on Kamloops rock radio station 98.3 CIFM for their singles "One Night Stand Girl" and "Sexy". Kook Show's songs have also been played on Vancouver's 99.3 the Fox and on many other university and college stations across Canada. Their version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet home Alabama" was also a huge success on Kamloops' CIFM, as it was requested many times daily. In the summer of 2004, Jackson and Walsh parted ways with the three other members and picked up the newest member of Kook Show, drummer Brandon Fauteux. Two months later they entered a battle of the bands in Surrey B.C and took home the first place prize of ten thousand dollars, beating out thirty other bands from across B.C. With the prize money behind them, the newly formed and excited three piece were eager to get back in the studio to work on their third recording project. They decided to work with a different studio and teamed up with a new producer, Travis Saunders (Stutterfly, The Bleeding Alarm, Glory Nights). Their third c.d. release "Change of Season" is a nine track album showing a more serious side to Kook Show. The album is emotional and uplifting, with lyrical content that almost anyone can relate to. |

Stanley was featured last week in The Province Playlist, a newspaper feature the points readers to emerging B.C. artists through website links and free downloads. The band-including Jarrett Boyetchko, Brandon Donovan and Rob Simpson- is lined up to play David Suzuki’s EarthRun at Vancouver’s Jericho Beach April 25. “It’s a cool concert,” Stanley said. On March 30 Stanley plays an acoustic show at Pogue Mahone’s. The band had a helping hand from producer Henry Small in creating their debut recording last year. Stanley is a humble guy: “As far as promoting yourself, I’m not the greatest at it,” he admitted. The raw goods are there, though – good ol’ rock ‘n’ roll. |

Description: I love to love and be loved. I have hurt and have been hurt. You can hear a lot of that in my music. Every song has a truth and a story to it. For every song, I can recollect the way I was feeling and where I was when I wrote it. That is something very important to me as a musician, because we all turn to music for relief of sadness or company or happiness. It's important to be able to relate to your listeners and to your artists. No one likes to be alone.
I don't pride myself in many things, but playing guitar and singing are my favorite things to do. I am happiest with a group of friends, a guitar in one hand and a rye and coke in the other. |

|
Description: Roxanne Hall hails from the Kamloops area of British Columbia. She has been writing songs all her life and performing at music theatre, honky tonks and everything in between. Her fans love her music and she has built up quite a following in her native Canada. In her own words "I become all that I am the moment I walk on stage - the audience feels it. Roxanne got such a good reaction to her release on the Autumn sampler that Comstock have now released the album.
Roxanne is looking forward to an upcoming tour of Europe.
The albums influences vary from Country to Folk to Rock and anything in between. This is most definitely not an album for the country purist, but is more suited to those with very eclectic tastes. Roxanne has a great voice, and does justice to everything on here, no matter what direction the song takes. |

Stowaway |
| Location: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada |
| Date started: 03-28-2005 Date ended: 12-31-2007 |
| Genre: Punk/Alternative/Rock |
|
|
Description: Like a flame burning through the darkness of decayed and mind-numbing music, Stowaway burst forth bringing their harmonious sound to the ears of the world. Drawing on influences of metal, punk and rock to create a resonance of flowing dreamscapes, catchy guitar riffs and awe-inspiring vocals. Fronted by vocalist Josh Marsh, complimented by a barrage of dual guitarists, Aaron Morgan and Dustin Marsh, reigns held in by a rhythm section of classically trained musicians, Kris Ruston and Luke Desaulniers. Each band member brings different influences, elements, and strengths with a strong focus on melody and songwriting. The birth of a song is an extremely intense process as every song undergoes intensive craftmanship and compulsive dissection which leads to songs that are original, yet burned into your senses forever. Filled with easily recognizable hooks, each sing-along chorus has its own addictive personality that creates mass appeal and listenability. After numerous practices and many exhausted hours in the studio over a period of a year, Stowaway's final result was the self-titled EP, produced by the acclaimed producer Travis Saunders With a sound impossible to pin-point, Stowaway creates a wall of melodic noise that is best showcased by their unbelievably energetic live performances. With a strong and ever-growing fan base to back them up, Stowaway is ready to take things to the next level.
Stowaway has retired but it's members continue to persue other projects. |

Suzi Rawn |
| Location: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada |
| Date started: 08-14-2006 - Still Active |
| Genre: Rock/Pop |
|
|
| Description: Suzi and her father Billy kick-started Suzis musical journey by jamming....With Suzi on teething rings! In fact, they still collaborate today and it's a lovely thing. In 2000 Suzi graduated from high school and went off to Ireland to explore the scene there and record a demo at Ritchie Buckley's (sax/ Van Morrison) studio. An opportunity to meet Bono and The Edge while in Ireland, proved to be a major inspiration for Suzi. From there, she spent some time in the Caribbean, sailing, writing new songs and playing some cool island venues. After a stint teaching funk and swing performance dance in Montreal in 2001, Suzi headed back to British Columbia. In 2002 her first band was born. "Suzi Rawn and the Rascalators," they played summer festivals, nightclubs and other local/regional gigs Fun times!! On her own, Suzi produced her first CD titled "On My Own". The CD was released in 2002. In late January 2004 Suzi decided to draw on the energy of some local B.C. musicians. Well, how 'bout "King Size Suzi". The band headed right for the studio, to work on their originals and eventually released two indie CDs... Green Eyed Monster, and Because Of Love... They toured Western Canada for some time and built a promising fan base ... then, Suzi auditioned for Canadian Idol. Suzi Rawn, Canadian Idol Season 3's rock chick extraordinaire, was stalled for some time after the competition, having been wowed by typical music industry parasites... A lesson of the big league! She joined forces with Mission Controls James (Jim) Campbell for Management, ouch! Campbell also managed? Idol alumni Kalan Porter, Melissa O'Neil and Rex Goudie. Campbell's lip service was, "Suzi is the real deal! Wiley |
| Location: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada |
| Date started: 02-15-2007 - Still Active |
| Genre: Country/Folk Rock |
|
|
Description: The upbeat country sound of Wiley will have everyone shining up their boots and two-stepping all night long. Wiley is a 6-piece country dance band with a blues/rock edge. Wiley gives a fresh polish to classic country songs by Waylon Jennings and George Strait, country favorites like Steve Earle and Patti Loveless and the altcountry grooves of Neko Case and Corb Lund.
Wiley features two lead vocalists: Tracy Wright, whose life-long dream has been to head up a country band, and Jason “Cowboy” Bishop, who has been singing for friends, family, rugby mates and rodeo riders for many years. Rod Bandura, who has performed for audiences across Canada as singer-songwriter and guitarist in Wasksue and the Henry Small Band, plays red-hot country licks on lead guitar. Leslie Collier’s mandolin lends a bluegrass flavor, and her lap steel accents the country sound. Wiley’s rhythm section features Lynn Goetting, who has played her electric bass throughout the BC Interior in many bands, and drummer Johnny Durr who has toured across western Canada with several rock and country bands, including Kings Inc and Diezel.
Wiley has performed at various venues and private functions in the Kamloops area, Merritt, and the South Thompson/Okanagan region. This summer, Wiley will tour the 2007 Rodeo circuit, playing the Rodeo dances for the Falkland Stampede, Ashcroft Stampede, Pritchard Rodeo, and the second annual Canoe Mountain Rodeo held in Valemount.
Currently, Wiley is busy in the studio working on their first CD which will be available for sale by summer of 2007.
Wiley provides full P.A. set-up and lighting. |
